Jakewilson Warning... Not A Bargain In Ky

As some of you know, I love JakeWilson.com.

However, I found today that they have some changes.

They recently opened a warehouse in Kentucky.

For those of us on the East Coast this is good news, we get our tires much quicker.

For those of you in KY, you are getting screwed.

You now get to pay tax and tire disposal fees.

This sucks.

JakeWilson.com just became much more than other vendors to KY customers.

I just did a tire order for a member here for PR2 the cost was 19.00 more.

I promptly canceled the order and gave him an EBay link. He had to pay 6.00 more than I originally offered him but it is better than 19.00.

I called them and that is how I got this info.

Another warning, they have autoplaying videos.

I prefer to just get my tires from Amazon, frankly.  Mind you I have a prime account, so I can get them with no shipping.

Yeah this is an aggreement companies have made with states , where they have a physical location in that state. The same thing with Amazon.com sales in Texas, if the order ships from Amazon itself, as they have a physical location in Texas. So from now on any internet orders, order from a company that doesnt have a physical location in your state, then you can avoid all the taxes and any fees.

But Jake wilson Ive never order, never really impressed me, with their secret hidden pricing structure

I buy local and the guy matches online pricing. I just got a set of PR3's that I'm pretty happy with so far. We'll see how they wear.
