Turns out my wife decided she wanted to go camping the weekend after my planned motorcycle/camping trip so I am turning it into a day ride and extending an open invitation to any one interested in joining up.

When:  Sunday May 19th.

Start:  Einstein's.  Kick stands up at 0830.

Route 1:  Riding time about 6 hours

Route 2: Riding time about 7.25 hours

I tried to keep slabbing to a minimum but there are a couple of roads I have been wanting to try out and keep the ride time reasonable as well.  I dodged all the crappy traffic towns I could avoid (namely Espanola & Taos) but couldn't avoid Las Vegas but we need to eat lunch some where.

The route is open to feedback if you think of something that should be included/avoided but my goal is to keep the ride time around 6-7 hours for comfort and reasonable finishing times.  Time to let the VFR loose!  Hope to see you there.

Hi Shaun, I voted for 1- but will do either. Besides the sand/cinders/snow and it being longer, it'll probably be colder too.

Just over a week out!  I am so looking forward to this ride.

I am glad to see both my tires still seem to hold air!   That is always a good sign before a ride.

Moved the bike out and checked all the vital signs.

See you guys tomorrow morning

:wheel:        This will not be me!  my front tire stays on the pavement :fing02:
