Is This Bent Rim Fixable?
Many would encourage you to simply replace.
I would have it bent back, personally. I don't think it would be a problem to repair.
get a hard plastic hammer and repair it yerself.
Yes it is, and no Timmy do not just hit it with a hammer, its bent in too far.
A bend will create a high spot on both sides of the damage, please take it somewhere to repair it properly and be able to give you total run out measurements after the repair is complete.
20 thousands.
Mine was much more worse than that...required welding...in the end runout was better than stock.
I would consider having that repaired vs buying new. Keep in mind it is highly likely that you will need to refinish the wheel after the repair is complete.

+1, frame straight is awesome. There are probably shops local to you in Cali that do wheel work as well.
You could get a "straight" used one, but most used ones are not really straight :(
The rim seems to be in good condition too. Worth repairing. Friend on this board, Shane, broke over one inch off of his front rim edge bead off and the tire got him home from a mountain ride with out losing pressure. He didn't even notice it until he got home.
I would say that if the cost of repair and possible re-finishing is less than replacement, then fix it. If it is close to the same as replacement, then buy a new one.
