No input on routes or places but I am taking the week off after the GP as well to do some riding. I have never been down to the gap so I thought that would be fun to go to at least once and maybe it won't be busy mid week. Got to get the stickers. My buddy should be joining me if his work load allows it. We haven't made any plans yet except to at least ride the "dargon" once. We are getting together next week to discuss. He wants to go some where in GA but not sure, he always talks about one town he has been to, I think its Marretta. Could meet up for part of it or something, I really didn't want to make too many plans just kind flow and explore the area.

There are a lot of VFRD members down here in GA and the surrounding states. Post up when you know a little more and I'm sure we could give you a list of roads to ride, things to do and see, or even have members meet up with you.
I live and ride in central Kentucky. Check out the area south of Cincinnati for some of the best riding in the state. Route 22 out of Willow down to Falmouth and then on into Williamstown is very twisty and technical. It begins off of route 10. At Williamstown you can take 25 south to Georgetown.
South of that there are a couple of options. You can take 89 out of Winchester to McKee and from there 421 south is also a good road. Or on the west side of I-75 look for 127.....the first part of it is not so great but as you approach the dam at Cumberland it gets good all the way down to near Jamestown, where you will turn east on 52 and then south on 27.
Other roads worth mention are 165 From Mt. Olivet, then right on 19 and left on 10 which will put you at the top of 22. Also 227 from Owenton to Georgetown is very tight and twisty.....probably more turns per mile than any other road mentioned here.
