This will be a half-a-Friday slab from the Bay Area to roughly Bakersfield, followed by strafing of all worthy roads in the southern Sierra Nevada. As with the last ride, I am going to 3-day this (3.5 if you count Friday), so my map looks long. I assume 2-day riders would bail out at point M. I don't think this will really accommodate single-day riders. Sorry.

I'll be checking back as I know more and to check out the routes. Usually do a similar type ride with friends in the Yosemite or Sequois areas that time of year.

Thinking about it. I could meet the group near Lake Isabella and split at 89 (just before "P") over to 395 (near Lake Topaz) and back south -- yeah that's it.
Any ideas as to where we'll stop Satarday night?

Hard to say though, there isn't much in the middle of the route, and either Saturday or Sunday will probably have to be quite long. Could extend day 1, i.e. go all the way to Kernville.

So I say we get one....maybe two pounds of the stuff. (Should be enough...right?) and do it right there on the spot.

Then we continue on down to Bakersfield to start the route.
Now that we won't have to worry about where to sleep or what were going to eat,I figure that we should be able to do the whole 3.5 day ride in about.......mmmmm......three to five hours,give or take an hour or so for a roadside engine re-build to "fix that wierd sound" coming from Tc's bike.
Shit! If we really hurry it up, I could be back in my driveway tearing apart my transmission by 3:00 AM Satarday morning.

Don't tell me I overstepped the bounds of someone that wanted to get speed from Fresno. Sure it's cheap, but the quality sucks.
No my name is not Tony, and yes, I was well aware that it was a running joke. I guess I had more legs than the joke did. I have met TC and BayAreaRider, they can confirm I am no tweeker. I'm about 40 pounds too heavy, and I like my teeth.
I do like my whiskey after a day of riding, but that is about as close as I get.

By the way, on a bit of a serious-ish aside, the way to know people aren't into something is if they joke about it. If for each of these rides we all rode our VFRs to the same place, smoked a pound of crack, and then went and lit nursing homes on fire, I guarantee there would be no discussion of the best brands of pipes or what type of wine bottle is best for a Molotov cocktail.
