I went to my Honda dealer to trailer home my surviving '01. Naked, it was in for new rear brakes and fork maintenance. While we loaded it up the service tech told me of a Y2K w 33,xxx mi. recently arrived on consignment. Took one look and the OMBD hit like a ton of VFRs. For the uninitiated, that is Obsessive Multiple Bike Disorder.
It comes with Givi hardbags, touring windscreen, and GenMar risers. Rear cowl and oem windscreen. And passenger grab handles. Things that I've found frequently missing.
The catch is a FI light that stays on after starting (I've seen that before) and somewhat scratched cowls.
So now I have something to do while I wait for bones to heal.
Great find there. Now the problem is going to be working on the 01 instead of taking the new one out for a ride.
Not a problem Yoshi, doc says no riding until bones finish healing, at least 'til 8/29, next appointment. So first the '01 then the Y2K; not mutch else to do to occupy my time 'til then. It is the next best thing to riding though. BTW my remaining '01 came from from a little east of Cleveland; I can't remember the town name but the PO named Jason Zachery Jones.
The yellow feels like a mid-life crisis under a 60+ yr old rider. But it is a sharp looking ride. And attention-getting while riding is a good thing. I guess I'll suffer with a grin while riding her.
Will you still ride with me Mikey? After all you are still a great riding companion.
AMEN BROTHER had a bear a couple weekends ago on Foothills Parkway run out in front me, had plenty of time to react but still scared the crap out of me.
