My GF and I will be in SoCal in the middle of march. I would love to find somewhere to rent one Possibly two VFR's for a day! we both currently ride Viffers and would love to tour some while on vacation. Any one here have any leads?? I would take something similar as well, not strictly VFR's but really not a Harley or CBR 1000 guy. Thanks

For a second I thought my wife was trying to earn some extra money on the side by renting one of mine!   Where in So Cal will you be looking to rent? LA, OC, SD? I can ping a few people to see if they have any place they know of.

I rented a BMW 1200ST a few years ago from San Jose BMW. Couldn't find a VFR anywhere close. Very friendly dealership. Picked the bike up early on a Sat morning and they let me return it after closing time without any hitches.

Well we'll be staying in orange. I will have a car so i'm fairly flexible. Vfr is not mandatory but similar would be nice. Thanks for checking!!

I looked at their website but it mentions nothing about rentals!

That was in May of 07 so things may have changed!

Google  search of VFR rentals in California will link to pashnit which has a page of providers by region.

Sportbike for hire in grass valley has 1 they say they'll deliver to your hotel (no delivery price specified).

South Bay Sportbike in Redondo Beach have a pic  black one in their rental fleet

Still waiting to hear back from one of my friends who actually rented from a place close to him. Another mate mentioned this place but didn't have any first hand experience with them.

http://www.motoquest...ch-california-5 They are literally about 8 miles from me.

Yeah  they do have a good list of rental locations! have found a few others as well. some are pretty good!  sportbike 4 hire seems to be based out of norcal, but they do have a vfr.   Thanks!

Well my one friend is MIA, he's probably on a location shoot, so he sometimes works long weird hours, but I did get some feedback on a local forum and one member said that they used www.eaglerider.com down in Costa Mesa, CA and had a good experience. If my friend gets back to me soon, I'll add his say too.
