Made a little vid... sounds epic. I wish the salt were off the roads up here in New England so I can actually ride the stupid thing!

Great video ....
Fortunately, I'm not limited to sitting still. Here's what it sounds like with the downpipes as well. (Hope you don't mind me posting this, OP. If you do I can remove it.)

Quick opinion question here.....
I am leaning towards either saving a few bucks and buying a set of these for my VFR or doing the old hole saw method to her.
Just looking for opinion on the sound.
Does one sound better than the other and if so, by a lot or just a little? Its very hard to tell the difference to me on the computer and not hearing one in person is why I ask.
I don't mind doing the work to mine to open them for better sound. I do have a lot of tools but I don't happen to have a dremel tool. So I need to purchase one and that is cash that could go towards a set of pipes.
Sounds good.
I'm surprised to see an ad in front of such a short video, and of this type.
When I was looking for cans for my Ape, Delkevic would not ship to CA.
Something something increasing regs and enforcement. :schla15:
Been riding my Delky pipe for a year now. Sounds great and looks great!

I think all the performance gains are roughly the same, so in reality, we are just looking for sound. It is my opinion that the best sounding VFRs ever, are the ones with the gutted stock exhaust. They just sound so deep and groovy. I would say second best to my pipe, but in reality, my carbon can is too loud.Quick opinion question here.....

Don't mind at all.
Actually up here in the North East we're still dealing with snow, sand, and sub 30 degree weather, so I couldn't make that video if I wanted to at the moment. Haha.

You got an assload of snow coming, too.
I'm in the northeast...just not THAT far in the northeast. (Thank God.)
Timmy, is the video your gutted cans or your carbon pipes?
It was a small diameter carbon can that I suppose was one half of somebody's dual underseat set up on some unknown bike.
Also, the video is on my 5th gen. If I didnt have a large pile of pipes to try out, I would have prolly have bought a Delkavic by now. I still may buy one of thier head pipe set ups.
Not 2brothers loud, but decent sound without the baffle in. Baffle in brings the tone down considerably, still noticeable but doesn't scream quiet as much when you open it up. I've run it the last year without the baffle but have recently re-installed the baffle as I can still hear the V4 growl but no need to attract excessive attention especially in a college town full of morons on crotch rockets. However; I've only every gotten compliments and have never had an issue with the law. I have the 14" stainless oval muffler. It cost me just a shade under 200$.

You're talking about the Gen 5. The Gen 6 Delkevics are noticeably louder than the Gen 6 2 Bros. Replaced my 2Bros with Del's (and the headers) and it's even better. (I like 2 working cans, as well.)
My mistake, I failed to notice the OP rides an '03.
Would you know Akumu if the del's are compatible with the oem luggage rack? And even with the baffles in they are louder than the 2bros?
I was in San Francisco last weekend when I heard the most glorious bark coming from a black vfr with factory luggage cruising down Lombard. Couldn't tell what pipes the rider had but damn they sounded righteous. I didn't think a vfr could sound so good.
