I have confirmed all arrangements for my virgin Tail of the Dragon ride.
I will be there around 3pm, Friday May 2 and riding the area until the end of Saturday May 3rd.
I would love to meet some of my fellow VFRD'ers and ride with y'all.
Switchblade, Baileyrock, et al, try to clear some time on your busy schedules and I'll buy the end of ride first round.

My limited experience with The Gap is to avoid it Friday through Sunday at all costs, only clear run I got on the weekend was at dawn.
While you down there hit all the other roads like Cherohala and BRP, less traffic and better (safer) place to ride
+1 for the Cherohala Skyway. :wheel:

You planning on riding down from the great north? If so what's the schedule a route your thinking??
My plan is to pick up my rental bike in Robbinsville at about 3pm Friday May 2nd. Frm there, do a couple laps of the Dragon and but the requsite t-shirt. Saturday I'd like to ride as much of the area as possible, maybe as far as Little Switzerland, BRP, Cherohala Skyway. Not really sure.

vfr350, I'm in Asheville for the week with my company and staying the weekend to ride. We STILL haven't gotten rid of the winter's snow yet here. BTW, I did have my VFR running yesterday. Can't wait to ride this year.

Not that i could afford it (unemployeed, need a network engineer?) But I was gonna race to get new tires and a Givi ordered in time to tag along. Settle for a review on the trip, thanks for the response.
