That's a great deal. The luggage alone is almost two grand - if you can find it. It looks well cared for. I'd buy it!

Canadian prices on 6th gens (as well as most other bikes) are always quite a bit higher than our US buddies. That seems like a great price to me! And Those are stock brakes.

Because I'm willing to be such a good friend. I'll go ahead and buy it for you. I'll just have to take it for a few test rides, just to make sure that everything is in order. Mind you, some of these test may be long an arduous, but that is why I am willing to suffer through it, so you don't have to.

Just to give you a perspective on canadian VFR pricing I paid 3800 for a red 05 ABS in Atlantic canada with 48 000km, mine was bone stock though. So I would say that is a pretty fair price for that one considering all the extras. 

I just bought one last month in Alaska. It had 2100 miles on it, like brand new cond and it had custom matching bags. I paid 5500.  The one you posted seems like a good price. If you like it, buy it.

A true friend indeed, but, I would hate to see you fly to the frozen north of Edmonton, ride in all that gravel that covers the roads until you get to the Calgary area. So I will buy the RWB and sell him my 2002.... its Red... so its faster... and it has full luggage... once I put it back together... :comp13:

Looking at the pics closer, I would like to see more close ups of the front brakes.  It looks like he swapped out the stock calipers for 6 piston calipers, maybe from a Hayabusa or something.  ...

???

The first pic (showing the right-hand side of the bike) appears to me to show a stock 3-piston caliper.  (For most of the years of the 6th gen, I think that the ABS models had gold-colored calipers.)

But I don't own a 6th gen - with or without ABS - so it would probably be good for another member with a 6th gen to confirm.

So I've been on the hunt for an RWB for a few months now, trying to get an idea of market value. (Generally looking thru craigslist postings in 'Merica). Then, lo and behold, this ad pops up (conveniently close to me), asking $4650, seems like a pretty good deal, all considered. 

According to the ad, it has:

what does that mean? took 'm out, brushed them and put them back in?

Or were a new set of irridium plugs fitted?

Its a short drive to Morinville to go check it out, start it up and inspect it. Ask all the questions and with the snow gone the roads might be clean enough for a test ride. If need be, get the owner to take it to Riverside for a inspection ( $150.00 or so). If I was looking for a VFR and it checked out ok, $4500.00 for a bike that can go forever and full luggage. sold.

It has ABS too. Man, I'd be all over that like white on rice. Get it. For that price, just get it!

Haha thanks for the input gents, that's pretty much what I was expecting. I've offered to put a deposit on it until I'm able to view it. The only downside is that I'm in the Middle East for the rest of the week, training for work. Hopefully the bike is still around by the weekend... :unsure:   :unsure:   :unsure:

Seems like a pretty good deal.  I can tell you from personal experience that getting the RWB with the blue matching luggage is worth it alone.  Those damn blue bags are hard to find!  I just gave up and am painting my red ones.

Not sure what you mean… 6th gens have 6 piston calipers stock (gold on abs bikes afaik). The bike in the pictures FSAE posted would appear to have stock brakes.

I feel pretty damn lucky.  :happy:  I'm in a mixed state of zen and controlled explosive excitement right now! 

Initial thoughts:

-VTEC is hilarious. I love it! 

-I like the stock exhaust note more than I thought I would, but still...

-This bike is gonna be warm in the summer! 12*C here and the fans were ONNNN in traffic. 

But, as they say, "Pics or it didn't happen" so here's one (I want to clean her up before doing a full shoot)

Another member here also bought an anniversary for $4,300. Fully stock with 29,000 miles. Needed new tires, chain, battery, and oil. Non-ABS as well, but in Southern California, prices run way high so he got lucky.

And your brakes are stock. 2 6th gens in the garage. Mine with gold stock ABS. His with black stock non-ABS. Your calipers look exactly like mine and really bear no resemblance to the Busa calipers (other than color).
