So, anyone going? I am riding the Viffer down with some friends on their Hardley-Daviesons on the 10th I believe. If any of you kids will be around let me know and maybe we can grab a brew.

After years of my relatives begging my wife to get me to come down, we attended this about 4 years ago.

U G H

The most fun I had was on a 270* onramp headed to another Harley shop for t-shirts...left 'em for dead and waited at 10 below the speed limit for them to catch and pass to show me the way to H-D shop.

Other than the time spent with my family it was a waste of good tires and petrol.  The guys at Suck Bang Blow biker bar try to get every sport bike rider into the burnout pit as a cost of entrance...I told them to F Off as I was not about the trash my Michelins in their stupid tire pit...

If I was near the end of a tire's life though I may have been more accommodating.

So many bikers of every persuasion riding from bar to bar...you might make some extra money if you take your Dodge and use it as a recovery vehicle...No one there will know what a VFR is anyway.

Tell me how you really feel CC

Well, I'm just going with a friend and her family who all ride and are by no means bar hoppers. And just for the day, so I will let them show me around. I just thought if any fellow VFRDers would be in the area we could say hey.

I don't mind people not knowing what a VFR is, that is one of the reasons I left the cruiser scene, they are all the same darn thing. As far as riding slow, having been on cruisers before my Viffer, it doesn't bother me to chug along if need be.  :unclesam:

...

I pulled my punch a bit as we haven't met in person yet...let me know how much you enjoy the scene and I seriously hope you have a great time with your friend and her family.

No worries, I know it's few and far between in regards to sport riders and liking bike rallies. I've been to Daytona just this year but not on a bike, so this is my first two wheeled rally I'll actually be riding at.  I'll try to snap some pics of anything interesting I come across.

There will be potential for pics that would violate VFRD rules. See if you can sneak them past the moderators! :goofy:

I was ther for the fall event, my first mc trip, and the costume-of-the-day was a Big Old Dude on a HD (of course) with a Sweet Young Thing riding pillion wearing chaps and a thong.

I'll be there the May 14-18, if you're still around let me know!

I know a large amount of local sport bike riders, maybe we can hit the 1-2 twisties that exist in myrtle beach : )
