Staying In Berea, Ky This Weekend With The Vfr. Good Roads To Ride?

My girlfriend is working over there this weekend, and her company pays for the hotel room and gas and meals, so we're gonna trailer the VFR over (she has to have a bunch of stuff for her work…too much to carry on the bike).  She said that every road she's been on over there is twisty, but I thought I'd get some guidance on particularly good ones to ride in the area.  We won't have time to get down to the the Gap or I'd be riding the Cherohala all day.  More looking for hour-or-two-long out-n-back rides out of Berea.  Anybody?

Boy  89  looks  dam  good .  Just  a  word  of  caution  had  a  friend of  mine  from  Bell  county  Ky.  use  to  go  home  with   home  him   on  a  occasion  or  two and  learned  that  fish  and  game  officers   can  write  you  speeding  tickets  just  like  Kentucky State  Highway  Patrol.

Have  fun  ..

Take 421 south, if you take it far enought south you end up in NC on the Snake.  You may not have time for that, but we took 421 from here to get to Indy for MotoGP years ago, and I remember it was a fun road.

Did take 421 south throughout the national forest to get to one of my GF's sites.  It's a nice road.  Didn't get a chance to get down to 89, but did take 78-501-198 out of Stanford, Ky.  501 & 198 are both nice, windy backroads.  Overall, a good weekend of riding.
