Would appreciate some help in determining how much electrical output I have in reserve on my 2010 1200F after installing the OEM Honda heated grips. If I missed a previous thread please point me in the right direction, apologies all around.
The vif finally has heated grips! Why, oh why, didn't I do this four years ago? All other electrics are stock.
I believe that total output is 560W, and that the grips consume about 75W, although there are three settings. Would like to know how much each setting consumes. But more importantly, how much is left over if I want to add a heated vest and/or pants, etc.
Having suffered the curse of the gen 6 alternator on my '02, I want to tread carefully and make sure I have electrons to spare before adding more power-consuming accessories. Thanks.
