Edit Profile Photo?

Went to change my profile photo and I can't. Says file is to large in excess of 500mb. The photos are only 3.2 to 4.3. Can't figure this out. Tried different types of pictures just says the same no matter what I do. I know it's something simple but I'm stumped.

Did you try cropping it? Alternatively you may need to use a photo editor to re-size it until it will accept it. It's been quite a while but I seem to recall doing something like that.
