A random discussion with a few of the regulars around here has resulted in a June 6th day ride.

We'll essentially re-run the "Bay Area Ride #6" from 2012 - http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php/topic/72910-bay-area-ride-6/

Route: https://goo.gl/maps/i43iT

This was an all-time classic the last time we ran it.

Since we have people coming from different parts of the Bay (and possibly elsewhere), the ultimate meeting point is the Shell station in Copperopolis (https://goo.gl/maps/GPT8R) at 10am. Lunch will be at Mountain View BBQ in Walker (https://goo.gl/maps/SSIWj)

Feel free to arrange your own meetups for the ride out.

Hopefully we can avoid interaction with the CHP this year -- but if we can't, just remember: crazybrother is the sacrificial lamb!

Looks like rain that weekend.

In the mountains, yeah. Will keep an eye on it...if it stays that way we can do something more local - weather here should be fine.

Thanks for pulling this together Brian...just what the doc ordered.

No prob, a good time for sure. tc and I RTB'd after we got hit by a huge thunder/lightning/hail/rain storm up on Big Hill. Will post my pics tomorrow, hopefully.

Raw data..

Sorry you guys got hit with the down pour. We got out unscathed.

Thanks for the loop Brian!

Another great day. 12 hours, 3 minutes, 485 miles door to door. Didn't even get wet. Had a great time, thanks to all. Jeff J.

Sorry I didn't look and see that you were going to be in my neck of the woods, but glad you had a great ride. How were the roads, as far as debris, cause we had a gully washer from hell on friday up on icehouse.

#13

Hey Tom, sorry, I actually meant to text you Friday night. Completely blanked. Icehouse/Wentworth were patchy wet and totally soaked in most places, so the pace was low. Debris didn't seem too bad though - I think yesterday's rain may have washed some off.

Mosquito Ridge was the dirtiest I've seen it though. Every one of us had at least one close call I think.

We'll catch you next time though, don't worry. That's not our last run of the year in your neck of the woods.

great I rode Icehouse/ Wentworth - Uncle Tom's and back to Pollock 2x last week on the VFR RR. Also did a track day on it @ sears @ the start of the month, what a blast. It was my first time on a track in 39 yrs., so I was kinda rolling it in to the turns instead of pitching it in and hoping the front end will stick. Kept up just fine from the apex on.

Well, here ya go. There are a few more that are good/decent, but I'm out of editing time. Was hoping to post a video too, but that's probably not gonna happen.

Obviously I'm obsessed with Jeff's new 5th gen haha. I'll send the Dropbox link to the PM thread as soon as I get around to uploading them.

Looks like a great ride, wish I was there! Looking forward to the next one.

OK Brian, maybe the photography does improve a little bit when you're part of the group.

Jeff, great to see the new bike, all that red gets monotonous without some contrast.

Amazing pics of the weather....bunch of clouds circling overhead waiting to dump.

The road looks like it turns into a river on the fourth from last pic...very cool.
