So, I'm moving from my 2003 with modified front suspension (less than 6,000 km/4,000 miles on it) to my new 2006 with stock suspension. I have never taken the front end of anything apart, so I have questions:
can I do this swap with the fork tubes left on the bike?
do I just crack the bottom machine screw open, unscrew the caps, remove the retaining ring, and pull everything up?
I had considered that, Duc24, but the old ones (with the good suspension) are considerably more corroded and the ABS sensor ring is different (although I guess that's an easy swap).
If that's the case, yes, remove the bottom bolt and pull the whole assembly out the top and swap the innards. do one leg at a time as to reduce confusing which leg innard is which.

Thank you!
