Anyone ever restore one? I plan to have these more as decoration in the house, but they did run before tearing them down. There are a lot of parts still available, although a lot have been discontinued as well.
Not that year, but 2nd motorcycle I had was probably a '69 to '71 Honda 50 exactly like this (not my pic). Sure would like to have it back now, although it was pretty rough when I got it. Fun to ride though.

Those things are selling for big money right now!!
Same engine as a qa50. Pushrod 4 stroke. There are a gazillion parts out there and the chinese even make the entire mill as well. The most extensive injuries I have ever encountered on any bike in any crash was on a z50. The shift into second can be vicious. Oh, if you let most of the air out of the rear, you can slam your knee on the deck and drft it until you run out of gas.
My dad did not bother with these tiny "monkey" bikes and just went ahead and set us up with a DAX/ST70 as my brother's and my first motorcycle in the 70's. It was so much fun blowing away my cousins and friends on their Z50s with the bigger bike!
