Is A 1998 Vfr Fuel Tank The Same Shape As A 2003 Vtec?

I have a 1998 VFR800FI which has sadly died on me but I am buying a newer model which is a 2003 VTec, will my Bagster tank bag cover fit the new tank or is it a totally different shape?

The tanks are interchangeable, The Vtec tank is a little wider at the front, but a very similar shape, when fitting on a 5th gen, it just needs a little trimming around the front of the tank where the fairing follow the contour of the tank. Take the bagster with you when viewing the bike you will buy & see how it fits.
