Let the games begin!!

Since Timmy the Cop & jekrumpe have not re-started, I thought I would since it was a chilly ride in. Here is the start, I must say after not riding for awhile I need to build up my tolerance

Old Wind Chill Index 68 MPH @ 24F = -15.45F New Wind Chill Index 68 MPH @ 24F = 0.59F

I've been here more than half my life now.

Whatever tolerance I once had for cold seems to have faded away.

Thinking I need electric heated gloves, and I'm not going out if it's under 50. Brrrr.

LOL ... my buddy rides his KLR650 all year round. He just put his studded winter tires on the bike last night.

Old Wind Chill Index -24.05º F New Wind Chill Index-11.12º F

LOL .... I just bought a Gerbing heated jacket liner. :P

Last ride of the year was in November. It was -8 celcius (17 Fahrenheit).

100 km/h (60 mph) for 45 minutes = -32 celcius (-27 Fahrenheit).

Even with heated grips on full, multi-layered and windproof clothing, and cold riding gear, I was a popsicle.

#13

Tire chains? LOL. :goofy:

#14

I definitely well not be participating in this! You guys are crazy! I hate being cold. ...55 degrees is my cutoff and I really have to debate on riding then.

#15

Sometimes it happens by accident. But fall and spring riding here can easily get down around zero Celsius without warning. All part of the fun.

#16

Has not been cold enough here at a time with no snow on the ground. Looks like that will change this Sunday!

#18

Cold here now....104 @ 9F= -25.74
