I was browsing for an already-online pic of my RC46 xenon headlight retrofit (er, unfinished, as usual) and was bemused to find this, courtesy of Google Images:

Obviously, that's not a picture of a VFR800; it's a picture of my FP from about seven years ago, when I was experimenting with various auxilliary lights (all since ditched). Obviously, I hadn't given permission to anyone to use it to sell anything. And those aren't even Hella lights--they're Electrical Connection Hella knock-off fog lights, which I had modified to be mounted using 100mm M6 bolts passing right through the housings and into the fairing mounting bolt locations. I actually liked the mounting idea, but as foglights they were pointless and used only on one trip to France.
Should I be receiving royalties? :wink:

I realize your post is a bit tongue-in-cheek but, yes, your property has been used for profit without your expressed consent and you should be compensated.

I find it ironic that they misrepresented the pictured lights as well as stole your pic. Could you also get them for defamation for claiming you were using the fancy/schamsy real thing instead of the sensible knock-off. :goofy:
Good idea. My damages from the misappropriation of my intellectual property would pale in comparison with my damages from being defamed in such a horrible way!
