Hi all. I'm a lifelong motorcycle rider. I grew up in a Kawasaki household in the late 70s/early 80s and know those bikes really well. I like to work on old bikes/cars and purchased a CL 1983 V45 Interceptor early last year. It's in rough shape, but think I can save it. I was 16 when this bike came out and it continues to be one of my favorites, though I never owned one.
My bike is blue/white with 24,000 miles. with a blue/white Corbin aftermarket seat.
This bike sat awhile so the carbs were a mess. The carbs took awhile to get cleaned and functioning correctly. After that I had to sort out a number of electrical issues to get her started and lighted properly. Once running, the compression tests were pretty good, except #2 was down. The oil was milky so I suspected a head gasket. I pulled the front head, replaced the gasket, and now I'm buttoning the bike back up. I hope to be riding this summer.

Here is my bike. I just finished the mechanicals and putting it together. I rode it 45 minutes yesterday and had a great time. If everything goes well this summer, I'm going to completely disassemble it and paint everything, including the tank which really needs some help. For now, it's riding time.
