Ok...Hi guys...got my hands on a 1984 VF750F for cheap....
It's got some problems...mostly due to sitting on it's butt for a LONG time it seems.

I'm sorting most of them out...with help from the Search Function here...but I am failing to find anything about this.

So here's the question.

Is there a set of modern brake calipers(fronts primarily, but front and rear would be supercool) that are mountable?

I'm trying to decide if I go full boil/rebuild or parts swap.

You are pretty much locked into that style Honda caliper due the the TRAC on the left fork. That caliper bracket is unique. To really upgrade you are talking about a whole front end swap. The length of forks needed also then limits your choices. RC51 seems to be the most popular?

Upgrade your lines to braided stainless and get some good pads. You can get some 86-87 VFR rotors for a more modern dilled rotor style and lose some unsprung weight. You can also get a VFR rear caliper bracket and run the smaller drilled VFR rotor.

The stock VF750F rear disc is the thickest and largest diameter of all the VFs. It's huge and heavy.

The stock brakes, in very good condition, are excellent, so cleanemup and use good pads.

I absolutely agree. Remove the calipers and master cylinders, clean them thoroughly and rebuild, and if you use new SS braided lines as Captain suggests, your brakes will be excellent.
