83 - 85 center stand spring

I am retrofitting a 83 vf750f that was stripped to be a track bike back to DOT compliant. Got a center stand spring and plate and pivot pin off magna or some similar bike. Where does the spring plate pivot? Found a nub near the pinch bolt of pivot pin but spring too long for that location.

That's where mine goes. Maybe the spring is wrong?

If you give me the measurements of your spring, I will compare it to mine. I actually left my center stand off after mine was restored.

Thanks guys! That is the lug I had found. The magna must be different.. This spring is 4 7/8 inside the hooks..
