What do you guys think of this? seems pretty cool to me, i don't run the bags very often cause i need the bike to be slim during my commute but i am intrigued about the protection this would offer.

It doesn't appear to me as if the guard sticks out beyond the side of the case? Although I assume it does given the description and the intended purpose. The aesthetics aren't too bad

Not too bad. The bike fell slowly on the right side when my foot slipped of the center stand and I was actually able to slow the fall from the left side of the bike. Just scratched paint on the left bag. I think the bag saved some of the engine parts from damage.
I'd like to see a pic with the bags off the bike...
