whats you"re front disc brake Rotor thickness ?

Service limit is at 3.5 mm. a mechanic told me i could go as much as 0.2-0.3 mm bellow but not more.

Does that sound O.K (vfr800A9) ?

Here in the UK anything below the minimum is illegal and an MOT (annual safetly test) failure.

Personally I wouldn't go below the recommended thickness, the manufacurer (whichever brand) has stated this for a reason. Remember your brake discs get hot when used, and we all know how metal reacts with temperature changes.

I agree with sticking to the manufacturer's spec. Brakes are too critical a safety item to take any chances. Granted new ones are expensive from Honda, but a patient ebay search should turn up some low mile serviceable units.
