How do you change your avatar photo?

I can't figure it out. On the my profile page I see my avatar and the button "Profile Photo" but the options are Use Gravatar or No photo. How do I upload a new photo to use for my avatar?

Well I stumbled my way to the solution. You have to add the photo your gallery and then select the photo as your profile picture.
