OK lets see here a few members who have given to the site have lost their Avatar title so I fixed them, sorry but that data got lost in the Crash - I am now calling it Black Sunday! The VFRD Crash. I am sure there are more who I have lost.
Richie your status has been changed to reflect that your a contributer.
And there were a few who jumped in with emergency funds thanks for that- it offset the cost of the new host setup fees and such.
dirtbag - thanks for your donation, I laughed out loud when I saw the name you put under your real name - yea dirtbag is his reputation!
vfrmonkey - thanks with your continued support, I believe you bought a few tickets and also contributed in the past too, thanks.
Thanks to the membership for not giving up on the forum, this has been a hard week for me to have to loose so much good stuff. I lost my recent Gold Valve How to and was really dejected about that, I spent a lot of time on that writeup. Oh well - I just got a set of cbr f3 forks I am going to pull the cartridge and put them on for some adjustable rebound, stay tuned for the how to! If those people at Westlin would let me get access to my files over there I would rebuild the database but they still dont answer calls or emails. Thats Jacked Up I would say.
You guys put the "Mutual Help" in the VFRD mission Statement
Spam Just got it, and a few others also chipped in.
A fella who I could not find a membership for, was not logged in I suppose and I could not match his email, I will use his first name only - Stephen
gregLewis thanks
baileyrock - VFRD our southern beuro cheif (the boss) as the Gap boys like to call him. thanks for the generous donation and putting together some great rides.
LandShark becomes a contributer
Pillowsplat turns in a second contribution, Calendar guy 2005
Blue Viffer Last weeks front page man, sorry I lost the data on that. And thanks for the kind note you sent me too.
I don't know how much time you spend you spend to keep this up but THANK YOU. I like your style in what you allow. This forum is one of the few bike forums that doesn't get covered in bs. The vfr seems to be a thinking person's bike. Maybe that helps in the crapola dept.
Yea I fired the crappola department 4 years ago. After putting up with it on a certain Suzuki site - dont own a zuki anymore either!
VFRFun Thanks for the donation I finally figured out what your user name is - helps to be logged in before you hit that button otherwise it just gives me "Guest" as your user name. Took me a while
marcus - Sorry If I missed reporting your contribution earlier, I was on my work rotation, sort of no time to do much while on my work rotation, I did not forget ya! Thanks
No problem. It was a small contribution but I hope to make a few more in the near future. I really like the way the moderators keep the focus of the site on bikes. There's enough inflammatory stuff out there and while I would dearly love to make a point or two, the nature of VFRD would be more like a soapbox than a forum about bikes. Thanks for keeping the site running.
Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to this website. What a great resource for VFR owners!! I have learned much here as well as made some new friends.
:twist: HS: They call me "Master" not Boss :goof: Don't know why ! Me love to ride !!!!
baileyrock - VFRD our southern beuro cheif (the boss) as the Gap boys like to call him. thanks for the generous donation and putting together some great rides.
Miquel my friend, it's the best I can do, I hope it helps. Yes sir I value it very much, honestly I think half the fun of having a bike is sharing the experience with others, and this site does a great job at that! I found someone here that wanted to buy the heli bars I don't use, which allowed me to donate.
Happy Holidays to all, and best wishes for safe riding that anyone does!
04Asphalt, VFR4Lee, and DasBone all sent a contribution via the mail. I guess I have to go to the bank now I still have to deposit Oyama's from 2 months ago.
I think we should have a contest with a prize - fees are caught up and more now.
How about a pictorial/writeup of a ride done by a member? Winner is chosed by vote? We did a picture contest a couple years ago that was popular, then we did an essay contest, which was not so popular. Combine the two with a pictorial essay? Feedback or other suggestions? Win a set of tires or somthing?
Hope it was a good one for ya. Just bank the dough for future fees and rainy days.
Are you gonna make Laguna Seca? Cuz we can start another fund to make sure our Fearless leader makes it if there's an issue. And there's gotta be an extra room reserved in there somewhere.
Lee, doubt it! I dont have any personal time off saved up yet, I just converted to full employee status and well am the low guy on the totum pole at work still. I am just hoping to get a couple of days to ride the 300 miles to Montrose for the ST.N meet in June... looking forward to that its in my home state it only 2 days!
By now the hotel prices have to be around $550 buck a night for the MotoGP this year! Gotta be a circus by now. Some of the email list guys I ride with here are going, renting a house or somthing for a couple weeks. Man I envy them, the dude who bought that the NR750 Jason and another guy Willy with the yellow 73 Duc 750 few others I dont know. Perhaps you can meet up with them for a ride or dinner? Great guys to hang with.
Got a nice note from one of the new members - I get a nice note now and then but I thought I should pass it on since its about the group.
Miguel, I am the new member \"strongbird\". I came to your site just after the server crash looking to see if the community of VFR riders was a place I thought I could fit into if I buoght a VFR. I very much wanted to like your site. And you know what? I love the site, the community of riders, the enthusiast nature of the place, the abundant technical knowledge, everything. Only a short while on your site and I was sure about selling my RT and getting an ABS VTEC VFR. I have to tell you, I was going to sell my RT when I arrived at your site but if the commnuity you've given a home to wasn't as great as it is, I *might* have passed on the VFR. I love the bike, but bikes come with communities and that's important to me.
You know what I saw on your web site that sealed the deal for me? The series of riding photos you posted from your Colorado/New Mexico riding. Those pictures ROCK! And they are very similar to the riding I've done with BMW riders in Utah and California. Yep, this'll work.
Thanks man.
Cory (strongbird) Selling an '02 RT soon Buying an ABS VTEC VFR after that
Thanks for the generous paypal, BTW I worked with a fellow who had the same name as you, great guy! Maybe just Coincidence but your not from Colorado are ya?
Thanks for the generous paypal and the kind note' a testiment more to the group than to I so I thought I should pass it on.
Morning Miguel,
I just wanted to thank you for running such an incredibly informative site. What impresses me the most about your site besides the precise technical information is the maturity of the group. I'm not a \"forum\" type of guy mainly because of the lack of maturity I see elsewhere. Maybe it's the \"type\" of rider associated with our choice of steed...
Thanks for the paypal, you found the subscription modual in the "my controls" before I was ready to unviel it but hey. I guess the transaction doesnt come back valid if I leave it zero, so that you can put in what you want? So I put in a bunch in groups of 5.
Thanks again. There is supposed to be a better mod out there but I havent found it yet.
Thanks so much folks for your paypal - I should put up a link to the paypal manager but havent gotten around to it, but it is in "my contols" for those of you who have emailed me about it. Actually the coffers are good, good enough to give back with a tire giveaway! Upload your contest pictures soon to enter the contest! That is also in "my controls" Please - MOTORCYCLE photos!! all others will be deleted.
