Does anyone know if Honda sells the red paint for a 2002 VFR in more than the little touch up bottle.
I may have a chance to get some cheep Givi bags and I would like to spray them Red to match the bike.
If not is there any other paint that would match

What he said. I used the GM-398 on my hardbags project (Wrecked bags that I got off Flea-Bay and fixed) to go from the silver to red. It looks good. If you look closely though, you can see that the bags aren't EXACTLY the same red as the bike.
Another word of advice, make sure the lot number on all of the paint you buy is the same. I bought two spray cans of the paint (one for each bag) and they are slightly different colors. :o I noticed later that they were from different lots. Apparently, Duplicolor's quality control isn't the greatest. One is a little more orange than the other. Again, you have to look closely to tell, but it is definitely different.
If you are a perfectionist, check the color against your bike first to be sure you can live with it.
Before everybody start's on me for no pictures, I took some and you can't see the color difference. :P

This is why I picked Dupli-Color's flat black for the silver bags I picked up off eBay last year and repaired...too worried about mismatching the candy red paint job.
Did you put a spray can clearcoat over the red? Since my last paint job on them was kind of rushed and really was done to cover up a craptacular attempt at "real" auto paint in a hurry, I'd be interested in seeing what this color looks like on the bags for my final paint job when I get around to it. The black looks "okay" but the red looks much better.
No, I didn't. I got the paint that didn't require the clear coat. As you probably know, they have paint that requires the clearcoat and some that doesn't. I was too impatient to screw around with more coats. You really can't tell the difference in color in the pix i took. It is that subtle. However, it's noticable in the sunlight. Its close enough for me.
If we ever see the sun again here in Northeast Ohio, I'll take some pix and post them for you.
Did I mention that Winter sucks?
