I'm looking for a mechanism to hang my license plate on, that I can retract under the seat - when I don't want it exposed. Looking for electrically driven type. I've seen them for p/u trucks that have roll pans - but not for bikes.

actually - a toll highway has been robbing me .......... :goofy:
looking to remove my fender, and was looking for a way to mount the plate that I could also retract - if I wanted to.

Friggin 407. I owed them 8 cents for about three years. I don't know how much they must have spent sending me notices, so finally I sent them 7 pennies.
I would think that either way if they get enough pictures of your backside without plates they will notice. If you go by that camera often enough and at the same times, one of those days there will be a car sitting there waiting for you.
Just my thoughts. I'm glad there aren't any toll roads here and I will route around them when I head toward Chicago.
I was riding down Ute pass with some guy on a gixxer who had mounted his plate way down on the rear fender near the freaking shock?? the wheel obscures it for sure, I guess this guy must be a runner? Its illegal around here to obscure your plate, supposed to be lighted at night too, but I removed mine long ago.
Hey Ken, I have the fender elim kit from competition werkes, it is back in pretty far and between the pipes. Have been on the 407 a few times with no invoice?? I have registered my bike plate to my car acct so no transponder req , but still no charges. Still like the 007 deal though!
i cross the bridge to work everyday i ride, i used to ride with the electronic transponder (linked to credit card no waiting) so then i waited...and waited... and waited but still no charges to my account, so after nearly 10 months they have charged me twice, i figured if i was off center of the camera and sped...hahaha well you get the idea
