staintunes

just got a set of staintunes and a pc for my 04vfr i put them on last night sounds good but as its been rainy and cold here ive not been able to get out and ride with them on

The staintunes rock! I've had mine for a year and tried the lasers. The lasers are slightly better looking but a pain to install. I'll keep my tunes. They are a third of the weight of stock and I think better power output than the lasers. You will not be disappointed. Hope the weather cleans up and you can get on those tunes and hear them roar.

I also have a set of tunes for my 2004. Unfortunately they have been sitting in my garage for a couple of weeks now. I had to take a trip to Fresno to look at relocating. Now I am prepping the house for sale. Finally finishing the honey do list so we can sell the house! I hope to have some time in a couple of weeks to get them installed. Congrats!

I bought an '02 with Staintunes already installed. I kinda wish I had ridden with the stock exhaust first to be able to appreciate the difference. All I can say is that there is nothing more pleasant to my ears than to hear that bike fire up. I've heard plenty of other bikes with various exhaust set ups but the VFR with Staintunes is very, very nice. Can't comment on any difference in power. It's fast, it's fun, and it sounds awesome. Hope you enjoy yours.

:D I've had the 'tunes on for about a year, also. I couldn't believe the difference from the stock exhaust. I thought the stockers were WAY too quiet.

Hey, Sparhawk, the install time on the Staintunes is only about an hour. I would think the wife would give you an hour to "play" with your motorcycle. But, anyway, once you get them installed, you're gonna love them! :beer:

I think Spring is finally made it here to west Michigan! B) It is supposed to hit the low 60's here today!

I had to trade in my D&D for a high mount staintune. Too loud for the city here and the D&D needs repacking yet again. No more repacking and a bud to silence the thing when I ride in town - avoid noise ordinance ticket.

The best price I found for staintunes was at starcycle, a full $150 cheaper than from staintune directly.

Wow! I can't believe how much "tunes" are appreciated in this site! It used to be that you have to spell Staintune "enutniatS" in the old VFR site everytime you post anything praising the brand to avoid getting flamed in a major way. Remember good ole Andrew. People used to get him so wound up when you even just mention the name to him. I think, in the end, he went riding "Ducks" instead.
All I can say is, Bravo to Staintune! I've had mine since they first came out with the high right model for the 4th gen, and I've been loving each burbling moment I had it! :thumbsup:

I have the Staintunes on a 6th gen and the sound is music to the ears. I can honestly say that I have not heard any bike that sounds better than a VFR with the Staintunes. Sounds like one of the old muscle cars from the late 1960's.
