Givi Top Box with Honda Hard Bags?

I was thinking of parting with some cash for a hard, Givi top box and have a question about the mounting bracket. I see from the Givi website that the brackets bolt to the passenger grab bar locations. Will the Givi brackets still mount ok if the Honda hard bags are installed? As they also bolt underneath the passenger grab bars (as I'm sure you already know).

Thanks.

Yeah, sorry about not being fluent in VFRD, but why does it say "local racer" under my picture and how do I chage it?

The name changes as your post count increases. Do you not like being a local racer?

OK Thanks. Yeah, I'm pretty much the Miguel Duhamel of Michigan! Any info on the Givi subject?

Did you do a search? It seems someone was discussing it a week or so ago. Any reason you aren't looking at the Honda top box?

Nope, sorry got lazy and only did a short one. I'll look harder. Givi bags are few hondo cheaper than the Honda bags. $600-700 for the bag and bracket seem like Harley pricing to me.....

OK, you're right. I donated today. Not sure what it takes to get "VIP" status such as yourself, but I figured I could help out a little...

Your humble servant, sir.....

I've replied to this before, and you can mount a Givi with factory side bags, but you cannot use Givi's mounting system to do it. You need something like a SW-Motech rack for this. I've some photos of how I did this at http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/ljaz/album?.dir=/b0c1.

Does anyone have a picture of a topcase on an Asphalt colored bike. I'd be interested in checking out the OEM or maybe Givi?
