I have a question even thouhg i think its silly to ask it after getting Zero Gravity Double Bubble screen, but I guess i will ask anyway. Is it worth having those, do they improve air flow or no? In my experience so far, i am not seeing any differents between stock and Double Bubble and I am 6' 3". I still have the same amount of noise as i did before. Anyones take on this ?
I just put a ZG DB on my `01, I can tell the difference. I'm 6'2", so we're about the same size.
The stock shield would put a large volume of air right at the chin level, creating a lot of turbulance around my neck and up under the front of my Nolan full face.
The DB solved this problem for me. Much more pleasent to ride now. Did a 300 mile loop on Sunday, really enjoyed the day thanks to the DB windscreen.

Should have talked a bit about the noise issue. No, I do not seem to have reduced the dBA any with the ZG DB install. But HA, if I want quiet, I drive the Accord :-)

I bought the ZG Double Bubble and got rid of it almost immediately. Not because it was poorly made or anything, in fact it looked great on the bike (i had the smoke colored one). But I too am just over 6'3" and the wind noise and turbulence was actually worse with this screen so I went back to stock which all in all is not that bad! I wouldn't mind having a dark smoke or smoke colored stock size screen but haven't gotten around to it. I'd love to try the touring version ZG has for our bikes but unless I find one used, I am not going to buy one.
I can't tell any difference with the double bubble. I own one. For me, the double bubble is just an "appearance" windscreen. Looks better than the stock screen.
I can definitely tell the difference with the sport touring screen. It is taller and wider. I like it. I also own one. :thumbsup:

Not sure what year you have but you may want to check out National Cycles site. I picked up a Cheetah SST shield in a dark tint for my '97 that worked wonders for me. The best part was it cost less than $25 including shipping. It's thicker than OEM and has just enough of a flip to send the air over my helmet, I'm right at six feet. In the past I had severe neck pains after riding at highway speeds for extended periods of time and this cured that problem as well as the sound issue. Got to be the best mod for me as far as comfort and I will never forget ULEWZ for pointing me in the right direction.
I have a ZG Double Bubble smoke on my 02 and its made a tremedous difference for me given my 5 7 height. I can just duck my head on longer straights and have a silent ride compared to the stock screen. Maybe the ZG Euro Screen would help divert the air higher over you. I have heard that the ones with the little flip at the top does cause a bit more vibration because of the surface area.

Unfortuneatly the Cheetah SST has been discontinued (thats why you got it for $25 shipped!). I couldn't find a new one from any retailer on the 'net. I've saw one on Ebay recently though.

2003 VFR, 5'10" The DB made little difference with noise, but definitely made a difference with less head buffeting. I like, plus the smoked version looks much bedda on the faster silver VFR.
In my experience, the doublebouble helps with the wind blast, but increases the noise big time. I dumped my DB and bought a sporttouring screen (made by the same people). The honda European screen sounds even better. I had the Cheetah ST screen on my 94 and the noise was the same, but I am 6'.

I just pulled mine off and painted the backside black. Looks great and it's free. :thumbsup:

That's a damn smart idea ! I do this to my toy bike models and would have never thought of doing it to a real bike ! Um...I have ZG DB, I guess it helped, maybe, easier to tuck in behind. The stock screen seemed to hit me more in the chest with air and help hold me up. The ZG SR and DB, I had both, seems to direct air more at chin and head levels and that ain't so good. I wondered on the SR they don't use the molded lip like Honda and if that changed the airflow ? I called ZG and they said no way ! But, when you consider boundary layer airflow management that "little" lip could make a hell of a difference.
The biggest thing to help with head buffeting, no BS, I'm not a Shoei salesman either, is the X11 rear helmet spoiler and the RF1000 has it too. It really works. I rode with my old Shoei w/o the spoiler and my head gets knocked all around. Big difference and it's the spoiler doing it, no doubts at all now.
The paint really does work. After a few thousand (maybe 6k) miles the paint will have a few chips in it from the vent at the bottom. I just pull it off and clean it and paint it again. It really makes a big difference in looks. I can get low enough to look through the stocker anyway. LOL
