Does anyone know the trans gear ratios for 6th generation VFR800? Which engine is considered better the VTEC or non-VTEC engines? Not meaning to stir up controversy looking at this engine for a specialty purpose as stated in another post.

Many people prefer the non-VTEC engine as some of the VTEC owners have complained of fueling issues, such as flat spots in the power curve around 4500-5000 rpm. I have a 6th generation with the VTEC and have had absolutely no issues of this kind and love the motor. Smooth power delivery and not a hiccup in 12,000 miles. Valve adjusts are a pain on the VTEC however.

I think the 6th generation is a bit of an improvment over the previous model as far as suspension and handling.

Either way..........both are excellent. Just my two cents worth.
