Nothing to worry about, I rode my VTEC in the rain and the speedo read nought, then the neutral light came on, then the FI light came on. GPS told me I was doing 75. When I eventually stopped I turned the ignition back on and the FI light worked normally.
It would, from others experience as well, seem that water is getting past the screen edges and wetting the PCB/connectors behind the instrument panel. It has also been found that water enters the speedo sensor on the sprocket cover, this can be cured with sealant.
