Greetings y'all! Hope I'm not intruding. I have a pair of Heli-bars which I inherited but it's not clear exactly which model they are. They fit 41mm fork tubes and they look like VFR bars, and I was told (for what it's worth) that they came off a Honda CBR or VFR.

I put 'em on E-bay and sold 'em to a guy who was looking for Model HB9402 for 94-97 VFR750s. He said they didn't fit and sent them back. I suspect they are instead VFR 800 (98-01) Part # HB9801, but I thought maybe one of the Wise Ones hereabouts might be able to tell just by lookin'.

I posted pics at http://gotnoah.com/ebay/helibars/index.htm.

Thanks all!

Well, I don't know what they are but they don't look like the Heli-Bars I bought for my '03 two years ago.
Mine don't have the window cut into the clamp or the printed label.
Mine have a pad with 'Heli' cast into the riser.
I wonder how often they do product changes or upgrades?
Maybe you could contact Heli to help identify them.
Here is a pic of mine.

The Heli's I have on my '01 VFR800 are built with no cast components. The fork locking collar has a stick-on label. Contact Heli Performance, they are great folk to talk to.

Noah,
I took a look at the photos: They definately have the same manufacturing characteristics as the ones I have on my '01 Fifth generation VFR ('98-'01)
By the looks of the photos from the other member, I would appear that Heli has made an engineering change.

Cheers,

Those are the original Helibar design. They changed a few years ago. I've owned my 99 since 2000 and the fabricated tubinng design was what they offered back then.

Now that we know they're fifth gen bars... this begs the question...

I checked with Heli Modified, and they confirmed the bars fit the 98-01 VFR800. They're now on Ebay at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=4543631134.

I put them on Ebay because I need to get whatever I can get for them, please believe me. But I really appreciate the help from this forum, so if anyone reading this wins the auction, I will absorb the shipping cost. Just include the word 'Snuffleupagus' in your Paypal payment's memo section so I know you've been here, and either don't pay the estimated shipping cost, or do pay it and I will refund it to you.

Thanks all, and good luck if you're bidding!
