Hey guys, random one for you bike starts and idles fine, but when raising the kickstand the engine cuts out. Normally with the kickstand down and in gear I know it cuts the engine and won't start then, but I can still press the ignition ition switch and its like its trying to start on a cold day.
I'll get a video in the morning but any ideas would be great
I've got a kickstand switch that does the same, switch is no good, in my case I drilled a hole 180 degrees opposite to the one already in the stand and remounted it, works but doesn't work as a safety switch any more
You can also just remove it and with a jumper wire make the bike think the sidestand is up.
I have also ran that circuit to a hidden toggle switch for a rudimentary theft deterrent on a buddy's bike that parked downtown. While it doesn't prevent the bike from being thrown in a truck, if they smash the ignition every time they put it in gear it dies.
