there are integrator kits on the market. I dont have links cause well I never needed one. But thats whats googles for right? Or try using a 4th gen rear. They are somewhat integrated just a long bar on the back.
I had a 93 and and if you look at it the tail light is made of 3 pieces. The center has all the bulbs for tail and stop and the two outer lens have nothing, but they are made to hold bulbs. I found some bulb holders that would lock into these outer lights and moved the turn single wires up to them. Worked great ! I'm sure in other countries these were used as turn singles, just not here ! There are even yellow lens lights from Honda out there that fit right, in if you search for them. I don't have that bike or pic's of that mod, but it should be very easy for you to do ! Enjoy !
JAlfredPrufrock, Apr 19 2005, 03:24 PMWhat do you guys have?
I'm trying to figure out a way to delete the rear turn signal stalks and integrate the turn signals into the stop light.
Feel free to input even if you're not talking third/fourth gen, I might try some 5th/6th gen stuff just to see if it will fit. :joystick:
Just buy yourself a pair of 4th gen amber colored, rear turn signal units. They are identical to your original "dummy" side tail lights, except they are already configured for turn signal duty, and drops right into the 3rd gen tail fairing with no modifications. They pop up at ebay once in a while, complete with wiring, so it could be bid, buy, plug and play away for you towards a cleaner tail end on your bike!
JAlfredPrufrock, Apr 20 2005, 12:59 AMFrom there I am assuming I cut the stalks off?
Is there a clean way to remove them?
my 3rd gen has this mod done, and the rear fender has been trimmed almost all the way off, leaving just enough material to mount the license plate. It looks nice and clean like this. I'll see if I can post some pics later
