I presently own a 1990 VFR750. I love the bike, but after owning a GSXR1000 I find the power somewhat lacking. I am considering a 2005 VFR800.
Is there that much difference in the 2005 performance and ride quality, handling, etc. to justify buying a 2005, or am I wasting my money.
If you are simply chasing power you are wasting your money only about 10% difference in power.
Handling, ride quality cornering etc is much better!!!! But then you could also spend half the cost of a new bike on modifying your current and virtually bring it up to the same level of handling etc and pocket the change!!!

Old school is cool. Fix up the 90' and run it! Picotte Performance in Canada does a mean 813 bore on a 750 motor.
The VFR has never been known for big horsepower. Although you could probably get 100 rear wheel out of yours and more IS possible it's sort of like trying to hotrod the family station wagon. Enjoy it for what it is or just get rid of it.
Twin turbo third generation VFR or ban.
