I was looking at the new GixerThou and the mirrors with integrated turn signals are a trick piece of equipment. The one big drawback of the 5th gens is the fact the front turn signals tend to suffer damage in any fall and crack the fairing easily. I'm wondering if the new Gixer mirrors will fit on my 99 VFR. I think I might go to the local shop and measure the width between the gixer mounting screws to see if it might be possible--unless anyone has already considered this.

I think the placement of the turn signals is more optimal than the current setup as well.

I saw those too and got interested, but I noticed that the mounting base for the mirrors on the new gixer mounts flat (close to parallel to the road), instead of the VFR's more vertical mounting (more perpendicular to the road surface). So unless ther is a ball joint near the base to change the stem agle in relationship to the base, you will end up with mirrors that droop down at the ends.
I think people had more luck with the new Aprilia Mille mirrors with the signals in them. They more closely match the VFR's mirror base mounting angles. Not exactly the same, but close (Right, SafeT!?).

Good luck, and tell us how it goes with the mirror/turnsignal project!

The Mille's mirrors 'droop' a little bit, but they work fine for me.
