adding pipes fuel economy

Hi all
I was considering adding new staintune pipes and was wondering if these would effect fuel economy and if so by how much. I love the sound benefits but because of the price of fuel here in OZ i wouldn't want to loose too much economy for a bit of sound benefits.

Can anyone tell me about the PROS & Cons of doing the Mods?

Your fuel economy will go down, because you'll be diggin' the sound of your scooter under acceleration/deceleration so much, you'll be wompin' the throttle a lot more. Just another part of the price to pay for the pleasure.
