Conclusive proof that loud pipes sound MUCH better on sport bikes than cruisers musik20.gif
Sounds good! I have actually thought of doing somthing similar on my sixth-gen. Hey if Harley can run straight exhaust why can't we? idea3.gif
I just don't like the sound of open pipes at all. Every engine needs a touch of back pressure to sound good to me. Now I will give some credit to the VFR for sounding like a latemodel aluminum block race car without the can on, but so far my lady in red is the only bike motor that I like with no exhaust. With no back pressure, you begin to get the Potato-potato-potato..... that the harleys brag about.

Attaching a gun to it is silly, but the turbine concept is pretty ingenious. As the turbine spins up it more freely flows exhaust, and when not spinning there is added backpressure. Almost an adjustable exhaust. However I'd bet jetting for that type of exhaust would be a pain, and I wonder how long it would take for the bearings to seize with carbon black?
Sounds sweet, would want to be wearing earplugs though tongue.gif
