It looks just like the one I paid eighty dollars for.

I like to print out the pages relating to what I'm working on, that way I can get them greasy and dirty. I keep the original one for light reading and propping up the end of the couch I should have replaced, but spent the money on bike mods.

How on earth do you download it????

I bought a cd copy on ebay of the honda service manuel for .99 just for that purpose. It's a pdf file so I can print what i want and if it gets dirty just throw it away. If anyone is interested I'll post the seller that i purchased it from.

Click the X on the ad on the right side, near the top, and you'll reveal a download box. Watch out for the pop-up that has chix pics for some dating service or something.

Thanks, got it now. I have the honda service manual, but will like the back up incase I wreck any of the pages.

Thats is the best thing I got off the internet in a while. Saved me some$$$$$ now all I have to do is figure out how to do the work and not to be affraid to take things apart.

Here's Rich's twelve easy steps to bike repair.

#1 Get tools and manual.
#2 Get beer.
#3 Drink beer.
#4 Repeat #4.
#5 Review manual to make sure you know what you are planning to do, while drinking beer.
#6 Play with, I mean check the functionality of new tools bought just to work on bike.
#7 Drink more beer.
#8 Get wife to go get you more beer, because this is taking longer than you suspected.
#9 Go visit neighbor who's riden over a million miles on a motorcycle, currently own six different bikes (including a CBX) and explain to him what you are planning.
#10 Drink two beers after wife gets back because she was gone so long.
#11 Watch neighbor work on your bike while you drink beer.

#12 Save a beer for your friend to drink when he's finished, and TALK about riding becuase you're too drunk to walk.

Seriously,
- take your time, don't hurry because it only takes one loose bolt when riding and you're done.
- Make sure you have the right tools, before you start.
- Read the manual and understand what you are going to do and why.
- Repeat the previous step (the manual makes for good bathroom reading)
- Ask dumb questions on VFRD about what you are doing. Somebody has done it before and may have a tip or two to help, or better yet pictures!
- Again take your time. Don't be in such a rush to go out riding that you skip a step.
- And if you have the option, have someone else do the work or at least check it. It's always nice to have two or more people helping you do the work, the time goes by faster and you learn a lot more.

Even with Broadband it takes ages to download but well worth it, thanks for letting us know and well spotted!!

That's nice. I happened to be doing a search last night and came across the same link. I just bought my first VFR yesterday and it didn't come with a manual so now I'm set. There are others there as well, I grabbed the one for my wife's SV650 too.

Now all I need to do is get to the office a little early and print a couple of reams worth of the company's paper and toner...

I happen to have a non-password protected version of the '98-'01 factory service manual if anybody can host it. The one listed above appears to be password protected... just like the ones you can buy off of ebay. This annoys me to no end because I like to be able to extract certain pages and copy images out of the file, etc. Anyhow, if anybody can host it, I have it available. :P

Cool. Currently have a '96 VFR, but the '01 VFR is what i'd upgrade to. I'll keep this handy just in case.

I backed mine up, too. I hate it when I get digital pages all dirty. It's so hard to keep them clean.

great download guys, but any ideas as to why i can not oped the file, the adobe reader says somthing about unknown file type?
