I've been looking at the Corbin and Sargent saddles for the 6th Gen and other then the Sargent being a whopping $9 cheaper I'm curious if anybody has a preference, or any history with these two companies that might sway me one way or the other.
I've been very happy with my Corbin. Apparently the service is terrible unless you go into their shop in person though. I haven't had any need for any service problems so I can't speak from experience.
Corbin does have the option to add a backrest for the passenger and the Sargent doesn't.
I don't think you can go wrong with either saddle from my research.
I think you cant go wrong with either. I have heard as well about lack of customer support with Corbin, and havent they declared bankruptcy like 3 times?

I tried a smooth corbin a my 2002. I slid all over the place wearing jeans.
I have a sargent on there now with texture. That solved that problem.
They are different shapes. The corbin is heavier. It will take longer to break in. The foam is stiffer.
If it fits your butt you are good to go.
corbin has no customer service if you can't go to their place. I know. I tried. I thought that they acted stupid. They weren't acting.
Sargent has better customer service. I know. I tried. They were very knowledgeable and very helpful.
The sargent seat has a neat little pocket on the bottom to put stuff like registration, ins papers, etc. At least on a 6th gen. Nothing like that on a 5th gen.

No comparison. I put my stock one back on for a ride this weekend and talk about brutal. Had to get the Corbin back on reeeal quick!
You may want to compare some pics of both seats on bikes since they do look different and you may prefer one over the other if you are having a hard time deciding.

Try both. Ride each for a while if you can.
I don't think I can try both. From what I've read here Corbin isn't exactly the greatest place to return product.
Its looking like Sargent is winning. Looks are close enough for me, its how they feel I'm most interested in.
