It was bound to happen but I never imagined it would happen so fast.
Right now I am waiting for the following items in the mail....
new front sprocket
larger rear black steel sprockeet
newer windshield
MC2 (heads up display)
Newer hi mount exhaust.
All of the above is on top of the new Pilot Powers that I bought and had installed before I even had the damned thing registered.
I just can't believe that I have so little self control when it comes to getting deals on upgrade parts.
What's next? A big bore upgade? I dunno. Maybe.
Actually, I'm seriously considering "shift stars" next and then a lift. That way I can put all the cool new stuff on over the winter. Muahahahahaaaaaa.
Like I said, "Oh God. It's happening." smile.gif (And I couldn't be happier.)
Best,
Dan
PS: I just learned that my headers are powder coated. How cool is that? One less mod to worry about.
Just the beginning. It's just the beginning. Fortunately, most people don't look down on this vice! beer.gif

What you really need is a set of cat-gutted, head weld-ported, de-O2d, Jet-Hotted headers.........
And a garage with a pretty floor.

Sounds like a safe way to spend money to me.
My wife is so cool about this stuff, but sometimes she gives me "the look". At that point, I remind her that other husbands spend money on Cocaine and Hookers.
Motorcycles seem so sedate at this point, no?

"Hi my name's Dan and I'm a VFRDaholic!"
Hi DanBet you can't add that to your sig. laugh.gif
Where do I start. Hmmm.
Dave,
Thanks for taking the time to analyze me so throroughly. With you around none should question MY time. Look at your puny post count. What do you do during that day, anyway, work??? smile.gif
PS: Post whore? Come on, now. I like to think of myself as more of a Post PIMP. Get it right, will ya'? goofy.gif
Trace,
PUSHER! I'll get around to buying a set of 99 headers as soon as I can afford a PC2 or PC3 to go along with it.
Of course, I still need a speedo healer to adjust my speedo after installing the new gears.
And then I'll need a tire hugger (since I'm gonna be back there installing stuff anyway.)
Oh. And I just can't forget about the radar detector I'm gonna need to take advantage of that feature (remote alert) of the MC2 HUD.
Yeah. There's no cure, is there?
VFR4Lee,
No pics until it's all delivered and installed. For now, my gallery has pics as she sits the way I got her.
Best,
Dan

Someone correct me if I am wrong here my Met 121 class was about a year ago.
The front sprocket is a higher carbon steel and gets its color from the carbon content. This is similar to your impact sprockets.
The higher carbon content makes these parts stiffer, but less able to flex without cracking, so they are not going to risk a large disk (rear sprocket) for this technology, since the front tends to wear faster anyway. Ideally the two sprockets will wear at the same rate and you will replace them together next time around.
No pro, but that sounds right, as the front is gonna take more of a torque beating.
Riding keeps me sane and tinkin' on my bikes keeps me married...

Rookie???? I almost named this thread "Bailey Rock Disease". Of course, that would make sense for a guy who says his cat is his buddy, his bike is his girlfriend and who uses his second bedroom for parts. I bet that if I named this thread, "What personal lubricant do you use?" you would answer, "MOBIL ONE."
Just teasing, BR. smile.gif
Best,
Dan
Don't have a cat and I have a girlfriend ! dry.gif I am by no means the mod king either, but I like to dabble!
You are confused Rookie ! tongue.gif

BaileyRock has two beautiful Golden Retrievers..
Let's see them dogs again Kev.
Whoops. My bad.
And a most public apology is hereby extended to BaileyRock. beer.gif beer.gif beer.gif
Nothing personal, BR. No harm intended. Thanks for clarifying that for me, Dave.
Best,
Dan
Hey Dan,
Thought I'd jump in here...
If you're getting a Radar Detector as your first electronic gadget, your well on your way to this path...
1. Radar Detector
2. Satellite Radio/MP3 player or maybe both
3. Mounts for those, or maybe put them in tankbag...
4. Tankbag - to protect electric goodies from weather
5. Powerlet stuff to power tankbag
6. Gerbings Heated Liner
7. Heat-Troller
8. Voltage Monitor - now you need to monitor volt output
9. Auxiliary Fusebox - as now you have too many things connected to the battery
10. GPS - Since you now have the fusebox... oh don't forget the mounts for this..
11. Mix-IT or some other device that allows you to listen to more than one device
12. Battery Tender - better get one just to keep the battery fresh
13. Heated Grips
Anyway, something in that fashion... there, I have a roadmap all planned out for you to follow... fing02.gif
Enjoy... beer.gif

And a brass pole!
I have a stripper pole, a kegerator, a full bar and last but certainly not least the VFR.

Sorry for the mess....haven't had time to clean up since labor day weekend.
I can see how one could rationalize those as necessary VFR upgrades.
