Here is another topic that got eaten.
Who had the info on the good deals on batteries.
If I remember right the ST-1300 (or was it the ST-1100) battery fit a VFR and had higher cold cranking amps.
I think mine is ready to be replaced after almost 4 years.
Thanks in advance! (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/fing02.gif)

I am getting signs that my battery is on it's way out. It is the orginal, 4 years old now.

I was quoted $95 for a Yuasa.

I would be happy with a $70 battery.

Here is the site that had the Yusa's for cheep. I ordered one about 2 months ago and couldn't be happier, very fast shipping and super pricing.

My recollection is there is a significant difference between actual "gel" and the AGM type that come in late model (5th and 6th gen) VFRs. Some contend the two types are not interchangable. Make sure you're buying an AGM not a 'gell' that happens to have the right dimensions.

BTW. It wouldn't hurt to talk to your dealer. I know a couple that are willing come within 10 dollars or so of on-line prices.

Edit: the "powersonic" tooslow ordered is indeed an AGM. Good luck with it TS keep us posted on how it works out.

It says it's an AGM battery but there is a big difference in the CCA.
