More in depth ride report pending, I am still going over bike. However, intial impressions...whew this is COOL! Gearing is way tall for street use, shite..it'll break every speed limit in 1 st gear (although who in their right mind would do that...??) Ergos are very "race" oriented...duh. It's gonna hurt (wrists) to ride it on my longer loops. Have not had it out on twisties yet, so I'll post more later.

You need an '86-'87 VFR, '94RVF750RC45, '94-'97 VFR750 and '98-'01 VFR800 and you are all set.

Can you share a few more details? Where did it come from? How many miles? What do you mean new? I have an acquaintance in Minneapolis that has an 1988 with 200 miles on it and I stare at the bike everytime I see it. I find the RC-30 is one of the most advanced bikes in the world.

"200 miles"....... that bike needs to be put in a museum or ridden like it was meant to be.......shame, Mine is not going to be a garage dolly, that's for sure!

"New" is to me. I bought it from the origional owner who got it in 1993. It has 20K road miles, was never raced and is all origional. Top end rebuilt by the RC30 specialists & valves done about 2-3 K miles ago. Have most all records on service etc... The faring is a little dinged up from gravel and debris strikes and wear from over the years...no drops though. It does have damage on the white part of the lower where it fell over in a pick up truck and hit the wheel hump several years back. The origional paint has started to "bubble" from the gases coming out of the hand laid fiberglass so that when you run your hand over the paint, it is like it has pimples on it....I have seen this on other RC30s too. However, I have a brand new OEM upper sitting in the box in my garage, and new OEM lower on the way from Germany.... & have a line on a new OEM Tail section I hope. I have new fork seals are ready to put in, (one side has a slight leak). My new EBC rotors are in, HH pads arrive tommorow, all fluids stocked and ready for replacement, new chain & a full selection of front and rear sprockets are on the way, along with a set of HRC rearsets......& she'll be ready to go, go, go!

So "restoration" will begin soon. The bike needs some "deep cleaning, so I plan to pull it down somewhat and clean, polish what ever needs it. I'll buff out the front forks, clean up the wheels some and clean all the hardware....Then she'll be near museum quality, definitely display/show ready.

What brand of sprockets?

I have a few lucky finds (several Renthal 520 rears smaller than 40T, Afam 520 front 14T), But I'd like to get a 16t front for a 520 as well.
