Just got off the phone to Chris from ChainGang {good bloke}, they do indeed fabricate a 520 43T steel rear sprocket for the VFR.
He also added that the website is undergoing changes so that international buyers can soon purchase through them online. However you can start ordering now via email or by the website mailorder {be sure to select your payment option, then below that, your credit card details in the "Other Information or Requirements" box}, or state everything in your email. Alternatively you can print the mailorder and fax them.
Just to confuse things, I had a 525 chain on one of my bikes (can't remember which one, but I think it was the VFR750). Only trouble is finding sprockets to fit...

I did also say that I rarely go above 120km/h, and most of the time I'm commuting, with lots of starting and stopping, so I prefer the acceleration. Fuel economy is irrelevant, after owning a 28 mpg VTR...
I guess it's a matter of personal preference and the type of riding you do, but I must say I enjoy the acceleration rather than top-end speed.

Anybody know for sure?? I guess I'll just ask Silver788 or Magellen for a used front sproket the next time I see them. unsure.gif
According to the Sprocket Specialists website, they make front sprockets to fit the VTEC from 12-18 teeth, so I assume that means that up to an 18t would fit (else they wouldn't make it right?).

There was at least one person from the list that put a 17t sprocket on their 6th gen. He used it for commuting and didn't care about acceleration. He wanted more fuel mileage.
