Hello, I bought a bike and it did not come with a center stand. Thanks to a member of this forum I know have a stand !! smile.gif fing02.gif Does anyone have a picture of the bottom of their bike with center stand or direct me to a drawing with all the hardware? Thanks in advance
well the link only took you to the parts catalog but go to the "frame group" then click on "stands" and you will find the picture of the center stand which you can click on to make it larger to see how it all fits together.
Thank you for the link to the diagram. I still need to know where and how to attach the spring. If anyone has a picture it would be appreciated !!

When the time comes remember to firmly plant your foot on the lever, ease the bike upright with left hand on left handlebar {it should kinda centre itself} then with firm pressure downwards, grab the pillion peg mount and rock her up.
Thank you for the photo. I finally got the center stand on. What a pain in the A**. Unless I am a moron, I had to take the exhaust off to get the bolt in on the right hand side.

Had my 99 vfr now for couple months and I'm hoping I'm not just a puss, but I can not seem to get it to go up on the center stand, am I just not giving it enough muscle or is it truly a pain in the ass to get it up there?

many have this problem because they were not show how. my little 5 foot 3 sister can centerstand a gold wing...the trick.. 1.. hold handle bar with left hand.. 2 ..hold rear grab bar or sub frrame or rear footpegbracket with right hand. 3 ...balance bike upright.. the trick.. 4...push down with you leg putting all you weight on the centerstand..DO NOT PULL UP!! OR BACK! JUST FOCUS ON THE POWER TO THE STAND!!!! 5 ...pop a cold one...
Get someone to stand one the otherside (rightside) of the bike. Most people tend to lean the bike towards themselves and never actually center the bike. Lean the bike toward the right while pressing the centerstand down. You should feel the centerstand's right prong touch down. The bike is now centered.

Once you know how it's done, it's easy to get it onto the centre stand.
Hispanic Slammer did a short video on how to do it. I've just had a look but couldn't find it.
