Can anybody tell me what the part number would be for a tailight bulb on the fifth gen. I.E. a 7440 or 3157. My local dealer couldnt tell me. I am trying to order offline. Thanks
I hesitate to correct, but isn't the tail light bulb a dual filament ? 7440 is single filament.
If I am correct about the dual filament, 7443 or 3157 will both work, but the 7443 is what's originally what's in there, based on the shape of the bulb.
Yea OK 7443 not 7440, and no the 3157 has a flat square end that is too wide for the 5th gen. It looks like it will fit but it doesnt the 7440 is tapered and had flanges that help hold it in.
I just take out the burnt out bulb to the autoparts store and compare, or show a clerk - most the time the part number is printed right on the side. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/idea3.gif)
It's #7443. Walmart carries them. About $6.00 for a pack of two, Same number for the front T/S. Carry a couple of spares, it's the most frequently replaced bulb besides the instrument bulbs.
