Frame Slider For 3rd Gen?

What's the through-the-frame slider kit I should use for the 3rd Gen? No water bottle in the way, so a cheap set would be nice.

i would like to know this as well. is there really anywhere to put such a think on a 3rd gen?

Thks for the helpful link. Anyone know a U.S.-based Thurn dealer? Or is it convenient to deal directly with Thurn? I've not dealt with Thurn before, but I have had (and been bruised by) interesting foreign purchase experiences when language and a large parts list were factors, is the reason I ask.

Thurn however is a solid company; granted I live next door to Germany so shipping doesnot have to clear the Atlantic and US Customs. They do understnad english at Thurn. If you have a complicated question, I can translate it into german no problem.

I've bought a few parts from him directly and know a few others that have done so too...all in so-cal or nor-cal. That said, I'd order from him anytime. He shipped it fast and I had no problems(customs or otherwise). A guy I know ordered the fiberglass bodywork from him(the orange 3rd gen on the Thurn website) and he was all smiles when it arrived.

I've decided to keep my 3rd gen and I'll be buying his kit soon too. He's good people

Looking at where those sliders mount on the frame I'm not sure I would feel to comfortable with them during a fall. They might save the plastics, but they connect to one of the weekest points of the frame, and in my opinion might cause the frame to bend under impact. What do you guys/gals think?

i dont think it would matter. if you bend the frame there, then you have other problems to deal with. the bolt hole they go into is an engine mount, so if that frame gets bent you can almost bet on a cracked engine case. i wouldnt have any qualms with putting those on. looks like a decent design.

The kit number is CP0092BL it is not listed on their Site ( ? ) But I called and it is in stock and retails for $110.00.
